Is Your Fire Still Burning?
"Meanwhile keep the fire on the Altar burning; it must not go out. Replenish the wood for the fire every morning, arrange the Whole-Burnt-Offering on it, and burn the fat of the Peace-Offering on top of it all. Keep the fire burning on the Altar continuously. It must not go out.”
Leviticus 6:12-13
The above scripture lets me know that God expects His people to be on fire for Him and not lukewarm. It’s up to us to keep the fire burning by staying in the Word and being fervent in prayer. When we allow our fire to die, we lose our fervor, our passion, our connection as well as power. The intimacy that we once had is gone. We must stay consecrated and dedicated to God’s service and not allow distractions to cause our fire to go out. God is faithful and will rekindle the fire when we repent and get back in right standing with Him. No matter how dry or cold your spiritual life may be, the Holy Spirit can ignite a fresh fire in you. You must build the altar by seeking Him, presenting yourself, and the fire will fall again. Stay in faith!
